Moon basket was started by Dani Le Roy and Laura Summs in 2009. The team endeavour to have as much fun as possible while delving deeply into the myriad possibilities of crochet. What is also positive is that the team supports women from a community-based project on the outskirts of Cape Town. As the ‘crocheters’ continue to give their crochet skills, both designers constantly reach for fresh ways to showcase the beauty and value of crochet in a contemporary context.
