09 A Dose of Scepticism
A questioning attitude should not be misunderstood as defiance. Only through questioning of reliability of claims, we may then build an objective society where all truths are subject to systematic investigation. Modern politics and society mores often shed a negative light on scepticism. Universally, as more politicians spin-doctor ideas and activities that ostensibly represent ordinary people’s needs and wishes, we should regularly imbibe ourselves with a small dose of skepticism. At work, if someone expresses his or her doubt, do not get offended, instead get the verification (of facts) going!
